Boards of directors lack digitalisation knowledge
The boards of directors of Swiss companies lack digitalisation skills. These were the findings of the zRating study conducted by the Zurich-based consultancy firm Inrate.
Only 6.5% of the board members of 168 companies surveyed in Germany have digitalisation skills.
More than two competences were missing from 18% board members, Christophe Volonté, Head of Corporate Governance at Inrate, told the media on Thursday. The necessary expertise included industry experience, financial knowledge and international experience.
Transparency regarding annual general meetings (AGMs) and board meetings was also recorded for the first time. "It bothers us that almost half of the companies do not provide any information on the results of the AGM," Volonté continued. Information on board meetings was also missing.
