When does an interim CIO really make sense?

Not just if „someone is simply missing“.

But when the situation becomes critical.

Typical situations that I always see:

  • A big programme is getting out of hand
  • IT is losing credibility in the business world
  • A transformation is not progressing
  • The CIO position is vacant – but the issues won't wait

In such situations, it's not enough to simply „fill“ the role.

What it takes:
Experience in exactly such situations.

An interim CIO can then immediately:

  • Take responsibility
  • Making decisions
  • Bring stability
  • Restore trust

And that's often the difference between:
further standstill
or real movement
